Sydney Schaerrer Matthews has always found joy in the outdoors and the strength of family. Raised hunting, fishing, and camping, she developed a deep respect for nature and human connection.

With a degree in exercise and nutrition, Sydney has spent years guiding others in wellness while also mentoring youth to build confidence and self-esteem.

Her lifelong dream of starting a nonprofit combines her passion for helping others with the healing power of horses. She is committed to creating a space where children and families can grow in confidence, resilience, and connection. Sydney fell in love with her dream cowboy over 38 yrs ago and he continues to stop her heart everytime she sees him in the saddle.

Sydney’s greatest joy is her four children, their spouses, and her beloved grandchildren.

BLAKE MATTHEWS
FOUNDER/ EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Blake Matthews has been a true cowboy since the day he was born. He spent his early years on the family ranch, established in 1890 by his great-great-grandfather, where he was raised by his parents and his grandparents. Growing up surrounded by horses and the ranching lifestyle, Blake learned the values of hard work, dedication, and a deep respect for the land.

A devoted dentist for over 30 years, Blake has spent his life serving others, finding joy in helping people smile. Beyond his professional career, he has dedicated his time as a church leader, coach, and mentor. He and Sydney have been married for 35 yrs and share their love of the outdoors and helping others. 

He is the proud father of four amazing children and the loving grandfather of five adorable grandchildren, whom he considers his greatest accomplishment.
